Birthday Robots

Rachel’s brilliant card was created with our ROBOT DATA stamps + dies, and our BROKEN MESH layering die. [Tutorial] For the background I dipped a piece of white card into some pearlescent Jane Davenport Starpower inks (Elizabeth and Jean) to give a sky effect. I then stamped the numbers from the ‘Robot Data’ set onto the right hand side of the background using Versafine Clair ‘Warm Breeze’ blue ink. This was then put to one side whilst I die cut out the ‘Broken Mesh’ die and painted it with ‘Brushed Pewter’ distress spray stain. I then used the frame left behind by the die cut to border the sky effect background. Both pieces were then glued together and mounted onto some black card. The die cut mesh was then cut into pieces and glued around the card. ‘Beep’ was then stamped onto the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. Next I stamped out some of the elements from the ‘Robot Data’ stamp set with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black and ‘Morning Mist’ grey inks onto white card. They were coloured in using Zig clean color pens, die cut out and some glossy accents added for added dimension. The sentiment was also stamped out in the same black ink, edged in ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress ink and then mounted onto some black card Finally, the background was put onto a white card blank before the elements were added using acrylic glue and 3D mounts – a delightful card for a birthday at any time of year.
