Birthday Wine
Nicola’s fabulous card was created with our 99% CHANCE OF WINE stamp set and co-ordinating dies, with a ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from our BIRTHDAY WISHES set.
[Tutorial] I began by stamping the wine bottle and wine glass on a piece of scrap card in black Versafine Clair ink and clear heat embossing. I then stamped one of the wine ‘splashes’ inside the glass using a mix of dried marigold and saltwater taffy distress oxide inks and water coloured the wine bottle the same colours.
I then cut a piece of 14x14cm white card. Towards the left hand side I die cut the wine bottle to leave an aperture. I also stamped the cork on a piece of craft card and die cut this along with the wine glass I previously stamped.
On the piece of card with the wine bottle aperture I stamped my sentiments in Versafine Clair morning mist and clear heat embossed. I also positioned the wine ‘splash’ (with the help of my die cut wine glass) and stamped that, again using the same distress oxide colours I used before.
Now for the assembly. On a 15x15cm card blank I positioned the trimmed down wine bottle underneath where the bottle aperture would be and glued that down. I then attached the piece of card with the bottle aperture over the wine bottle using foam pads for height giving the wine bottle a sunken effect. The wine glass was aligned with the wine splash and added also using foam pads.
Finishing touches were glossy accents over the wine bottle along with a stamped, coloured and cut out label. I added the cork at an angle and embellished the wine splash with a little stickles. Nicola ♡
