Good afternoon, it's time to share my new Visible Image design team inspiration. The new release of fab stamps, co-ordinating dies and stencils is going down a storm. Today I am sharing 2 of my trademark art tins made to showcase the gorgeous new Create Happiness stamp set.
Tutorial
To begin, I removed the label, measured the length and width of the tin (between the rounded end plates) and cut a piece of card. I added 1 cm onto the length of a piece of card for a small overlap.
Next I repeat stamped the flower along the edges.
I also stamped the flower in the centre and the sentiment on each side as shown below. I used these distress inks:
and the fragments stencil to then add colour over the images. I avoided the flowers but you don't need to be too precise as the flowers either get coloured or decoupaged.
Next I used these distress water colour pencils to colour the blooms.
and added some extra stamping using the collage stamp in the set.
I stamped 2 flowers onto book pages and die cut them out.
I also stamped the flower twice more on white card and die cut out the centres using the 2nd die in the set. I removed these centres and coloured them with pencils and added stuck them onto the book page flowers with foam tape to add some dimension.
I then adhered the labels to my tins.
I have LOTS of these tins now. They are so useful for my brushes, pens, paint brushes and more They look so colourful on my craft desk too. Here are a few....
On 1st March I am celebrating my 7th year of joining the Visible Image design team. I still love designing with their awesome products and I am so proud to be their longest serving member. Cheers and here's to an exciting new journey ahead!
I would love it if you could join us over in the Visible Image Facebook group where I run a monthly ATC swap which is so much fun! You will also see all the new Design Team inspiration every day, and you can show us what you create with your Visible Image products too!
Bye for now,
