Today I am using the beautiful new 'Birthday in Bloom' stamp set which has matching dies to cut out the flower heads, allowing you to add some lovely dimension to your card.
TUTORIAL
Three vases and three flower stems from BIRTHDAY IN BLOOM were stamped in Versafine Clair morning mist before being heat embossed using wow! clear gloss embossing powder.
The 3 flower heads were also stamped again on spare card and embossed and then cut out using the accompanying BIRTHDAY IN BLOOM DIES.
Around the edges of a larger piece of card I blended dried marmalade and saltwater taffy distress oxides and spattered with a little water to add interest.
Once dry, parts of the flower heads were stamped in shades of orange and pink to create the border. They were then coloured using white pencil crayon.
The three die cut flower heads were water coloured using the same shades of distress oxides and a wink of Stella brushed over them to give a little shimmer.
I water coloured the vases using tumbled glass distress oxide.
The main image was then mounted onto black card and again onto a 20x20cm card blank. The die cut flower heads were added using foam pads and a few acrylic water droplets were added too.
Finally the sentiment which was stamped using versamark, white heat embossed, then cut out and stacked with black card several times was adhered using silicon glue.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial today.
