Keeping It Simple - Catching Dreams Tutorial
On a piece of 13.5x13.5cm piece of white card blend Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide around the edges and set aside to dry.
Using a piece of 13x13cm white card, load the blending brush again with Cracked Pistachio and beginning in one corner, very lightly blend the ink using circular motions along the edges and towards the centre of the card in a diagonal. I didn’t reload the brush as I wanted it to be darker around the edges and fade out towards the centre.
Spatter the coloured area with water drops and leave to dry or dry with a heat tool. I did this twice to get the effect I was happy with.
Making sure your work is completely dry using black permanent ink of your choice stamp the main image from CATCHING DREAMS at an angle partially coming off the card.
Add a little background stamping using the ink splat stamp that comes with set. I again used the cracked pistachio for this.
Stamp your choice of sentiment from the set in the opposite corner using your permanent black ink. I chose “Free Spirit”
Make sure all the ink is dry before adhering the card panel to the Cracked Pistachio coloured card you inked earlier. Then attach this to a piece of 14.5x14.5cm Kraft card and finally the whole lot onto a 15x15cm white card blank. I used wet glue, but you could use double sided tape or a combination of both.
To finish off the card I used Unicorn Stickles on parts of the dreamcatcher image adding a bit of dreamy sparkle.
