Calm Over Chaos & Art Spheres #2
On a piece of 14x14cm white card I stamped the main image from CALM OVER CHAOS using versafine onyx black. I also stamped it again on a piece of masking paper and cut this out placing it over the image on the card.
Next I brayered on distress oxide, squeezed lemonade and twisted citron. I chose one of the stencils from ART SPHERES #2 which I thought resembled parasols and blended more twisted citron through it.
I then removed the mask and coloured the main image using distress oxide kitsch flamingo, picked raspberry and broken china.
I stamped some of the cherry blossom stem around the edges in versafine clair morning mist and enhanced the “parasols” using white crayon. I coloured in the cherry blossom using posca paint pens.
Next I stamped and embossed the Japanese text using wow! Embossing powder in metalline Himalayan musk. I stamped part of the main sentiment on black card and embossed in bright white.
When everything was completely dry I rubbed over a little distress micro glaze to really bring out the colours and buffed off the excess using kitchen towel. Less really is more when using this product.
I then mat and layered in bright pink and black onto a 17x17cm card blank and added the sentiment. Finishing touches were flat backed pears and crystals.
