Live In The Moment

Summer is on the horizon and I’ve begun to see new life beginning to emerge from the hedgerows. I love watching the dragonflies fluttering about so this ‘Live in the Moment’ stamp set from is perfect for those summer cards!

I started by taking a DL sized white piece of card and spraying it with water, ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Twisted Citron’ distress spray stain.

Once dried, I blended ‘Twisted Citron’ distress ink around the edge of the card. I then stamped the circle elements from the stamp set onto the background using ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress ink and Versafine Clair ‘Verdant’ green ink (2nd generation).

The dragonflies from the ‘Live in the Moment’ stamp set were then stamped in Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.

The larger dragonfly was stamped once more on a separate piece of card before being heat embossed in the same way, the wings fussy cut out and coloured in using ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress ink.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped onto the card using the same black ink and embossing powder. The background was then layered onto black card and a white card blank before the wings for the large dragonfly and sparkly water droplets were added.

Some wink of stella glitter pen and a few splatters of Posca white acrylic paint were then added for some additional interest. I loved making this bright little card – I hope it makes you smile today too.
