A Friend Like You

I started by painting white gesso over a mdf mount board tag, then scraped white paint over it leaving a textured surface.

Whilst the tag dries stamp and emboss the focal point flower and vase from the A FRIEND LIKE YOU stamp set.

Next, using watercolour pencils, colour the image and fussy cut.

Apply a small amount of glossy accents.

While this dries go back to the tag and place the FRAGMENTS stencil on top and blend seedless preserves Mermaid Lagoon and Fossilised Amber oxides through the stencil.

Go round the edges in seedless preserves to enhance the edges.

Now stamp out the sentiment you wish to use and emboss. I used ‘I appreciate you’ and ‘everyone needs a friend like you’.

Grab some black threads and scrunch up behind the flower and adhere the flower with foam pads on top of black threads to keep them in place. Then place your sentiment on top.
