Tutorial

Using a previously made ink spray background from my stash I trimmed it to 15.25 x 15.25cm and stamped the main image from SUNFLOWER GRUNGE using versafine onyx black.

I then clear heat embossed using Wow! Clear embossing powder. I repeated this using the smaller sunflower head images twice and the larger sunflower once onto white card.

Next I stamped background elements from SKETCHED BACKGROUNDS using versafine clair in shades of warm breeze and spruce. I also stamped a few extra black splatters using the little stamp that comes with Sunflower Grunge.

Making sure all stamping was dry I applied Brilliance platinum ink through the STROBES stencil. This gives a lovely shimmery effect depending on how the light catches it but you can still see the stamping.

I then coloured in the sunflowers in 3 shades of yellow/orange using zig clean colour real brush watercolour pens, enhancing them with white gelli roll pen and giving them a coat of clear wink of Stella for a gorgeous shimmer.

Stamping the sentiment was next using versamark, followed by white Wow! Embossing powder on black card. I trimmed and layered the sentiments onto white card giving a very narrow border.

To assemble the card I mat and layered onto a 17.75 x 17.75cm card blank and added a few pearly gems to finish off the card.
