Sketched Baubles
Tutorial
Using watercolour brush pens apply a few different shades directly to the largest bauble from SKETCHED BAUBLES then stamp onto smooth watercolour card. Next add a fair amount of water to the centre of the image and blend out towards the inked outline.
On contact with the ink it will begin to spread and blend where the card is wet. Be patient and let it do its own thing. Add a little more colour if necessary to get the colour saturation you require.
Once the large bauble is dry, stamp and cut out another large bauble to use as a mask. Place the mask over the dry water coloured bauble. Repeat step one twice using the smaller bauble. Make sure when adding water to the small baubles not to wet the outline of the large bauble where they meet.
Leave completely to dry or dry using a heat tool. Then stamp the bauble hangers and thread using versafine Morning Mist. Go over the stamping with a clear sparkle pen. I used a Sakura gelli roll in crystal clear.
Go over the smaller baubles with Zig wink of Stella clear to give a beautiful shimmer and paint the large bauble with distress clear crackle paint. When this is dry go over the cracked effect with a little blue watercolour ink, let it go into the cracks to enhance them but wipe off the surface using a clean cloth.
Using versamark and silver embossing powder stamp and embossing the sentiment.
Simply mat and layer using silver holographic mirror card and plain navy card.
