I love making clean & simple cards, but sometimes they feel a bit unfinished and empty, and that is when I usually end with one of my go-to finishing touches:
Glossy Accents can be used for small details or to highlight the focal point on your card – maybe wings on a butterfly or eyes on a character.
Splashes can be added with almost any paint/ink you have; watercolours, watered down acrylic paints or spray inks. My favourite is to use sparkly watercolours to give a card or any other creation that little extra.
Doodling or making marks – I swear by my black fine liner pen for drawing lines to frame my card. You can also use coloured pens/pencils to make little dots or circles on/around your stamped image. Another thing you can do is to use a grey pen/pencil to add a shadow to your image – one way to give the card a bit more depth.
Jane's Tricks and Treats
Jane demonstrates how an identical card design can take on a completely different look by incorporating various techniques.
