Frosty Celebrations

New Year’s celebrations call for some bubbly, so I've decided to create a gift tag to hang on a bottle – a nice gift if you are invited to a party.

Tutorial

First I found a gift tag template online, transferred it to a piece of white Neenah cardstock and cut it out. I wanted the background to remind me of fireworks, so I pulled out a few bright Distress Oxides (Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Fossilized Amber, and Ripe Persimmon) and ink blended them onto the tag.

Then I used some more Distress Oxide (Black Soot) to blend through the Frosty stencil.

On top of that I applied some Nuvo glimmer paste (Moonstone).

When the glimmer paste was dry, I inked the edges with Black Soot.

The sentiment I used is from the stamp set Birthday Wishes, and I stamped it on black cardstock and embossed it in gold.

I added it to the tag with 3D foam.

I used a gel pen to add some gold stitches.

I needed something more on my tag, so I stamped a cocktail glass from the set Cocktails & Dreams.

When it was coloured and cut out using the co-ordinating dies, I attached it to the tag and added some Stickles for that extra sparkle. Ready to celebrate!
