Musical Make created with Sing/Birthday Wishes/Seeing Stars Stencil

Do you know a ‘Swiftie’?? It’s my Niece’s birthday soon and she’s mad about music, but especially Taylor Swift. This week our DT theme is ‘Stars’ so this musical make is perfect for a soon to be teenager. Alongside the ‘Sing’ stamp set I’ve also used ‘Birthday Wishes’ and the ‘Seeing Stars’ stencil.

To begin, I took a piece of white card and sprayed it with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress spray stains. Some water droplets were then added for interest.

Next up, the main singer image from ‘Sing’ was stamped into the centre of the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before being heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder.

The musical notes were stamped out next around the singer using Versafine Clair ‘Charming Pink’ ink before being heat embossed in the same way.

I then took the small star cluster from the ‘Birthday Wishes’ stamp set and stamped this next to the musical notes to add flow to the image using the same ink. I really love how this worked out.

I then repeated the ‘Sing’ image and the star pattern around the edge of the card using Versafine Clair ‘Lilac Bloom’ ink. The ‘Sing’ was stamped in 2nd generation.

The ‘Seeing Stars’ stencil was then placed over the top of the background and ‘Tumbled Glass’ distress ink brushed through it. This was moved around to ensure all the background was covered.

The sentiment from the ‘Birthday Wishes’ stamp set was then stamped onto a piece of black card using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder. This was mounted onto a piece of card that had been coloured with ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress ink.

Finally, the sentiment was added to the card using 3D mounts. The background was added to black card and a white card blank. Some sparkly stars and gems were also added for added glamour. This was a really fun make and I can’t wait to see what my Niece thinks on her special day.
