Easter Bunny

Rachel’s fabulous card was made with the rabbit face stamp, hearts and Easter sentiment from our HAPPY BUNNY stamp set, gorgeous FLOWER INK stencil, and background stamping with our CHAIN REACTION stamps. [Tutorial] There are some colours and stamps that just shout Easter! I love this new ‘Happy Bunny’ stamp set from Visible Image. For this make I’ve teamed up the set with the ‘Chain Reaction’ background stamps and the new ‘Flower Ink’ stencil and mask. First of all I chose a soft pastel palette of ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Shaded Lilac’, ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress oxides. These were ‘smooshed’ onto a craft mat and sprayed with water. I then repeatedly dipped a white piece of card into the ink until the card was fully covered. Once dried, distress inks in the same colours were blended around the edges of the card. I then stamped the small heart from the ‘Happy Bunny’ set using Versafine Clair ‘Charming Pink’ ink (3rd generation) before adding ‘pebbles’ from the ‘Chain Reaction’ set using ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink. (They really remind me of those chocolate mini eggs! Simply perfect for an Easter card!). The ‘Flower Ink’ stencil was then placed over the background and some ‘Snowflake’ Paperartsy fresco paint smoothed over the stencil. The mask from the set was also placed into position before layering some Distress opaque grit paste through both the mask and stencil. On a separate piece of card I stamped the main bunny image with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. This was then fussy cut out (leaving some white space) and coloured in with ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ and ‘Hickory Smoke’ distress watercolour pencils and a water brush. The sentiment was also stamped onto a small piece of black card with clear Versamark embossing ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine opaque bright white embossing powder before laying onto white card. Finally, the bunny was added to the main card with some 3D mounts. The background and sentiment was then put onto black card and a white card blank. A perfect spring project I hope you agree? Rachel ♡
