Tweedle Days
Rachel’s fantastic card was created with our TWEEDLEDUM/DEE stamp set and co-ordinating dies, A TO Z stencil, and a sentiment from our BETTER DAYS AHEAD stamp set.
[Tutorial] To begin with I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Crackling Campfire’ and ‘Spiced Marmalade’ distress spray stain before spritzing with water. Once dried I blended ‘Crackling Campfire’ distress ink over the ‘A to Z’ stencil onto the background. I then used a white colouring pencil and blender to highlight the alphabet and make it stand out. Stars from the ‘Better Days Ahead’ stamp set were then stamped over the background in the same ink.
On another piece of white card I stamped the Tweedles and their caps with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ ink before heat embossing with Wow Superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were then die cut out using the co-ordinating die set, and coloured in using Stabilo Aquacolor pencils and a water brush. Some Ranger Glossy Accents were then added to their eyes to make them sparkle.
Finally, the sentiment from the ‘Better Days Ahead’ was then stamped using the same ink on an offcut of white card before being fussy cut out. I also edged the background with black pen before mounting the card onto white linen card and a white card blank. All the elements were then fixed into position using acrylic glue or 3D mounts. A bright card to remind a friend that there are better days ahead I hope you agree? Rachel ♡
