Keeping It Simple - Lilies With Love

I chose to use one of the new stamp sets Lilies with Love and the stencil Halftone to create this card.

I cut a piece of Neenah cardstock to stamp and colour on. Since I use markers, I stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento ink, but you can also stamp on watercolour paper with any waterproof ink pad if you want to use waterbased paint.

For this card I decided to use only a part of the stamp, to create lots of white space, so I stamped and coloured the image with alcohol markers. Make it simple use whatever colour pencils, markers, or paint you have on hand.

I used a white gel pen to doodle some details on the lilies and the leaves.

Part of the background was coloured with markers.

The sentiment was stamped at the bottom of my card with black Memento ink

Together with the Halftone stencil I used Distress Oxide (Salvaged Patina) and ink blended around the flowers. I used a similar colour as I used on the background, so that the background and the stencil marks could blend nicely.

Finally, I drew with a black fine liner pen around the edge of the card before I framed it with black cardstock and attached it to a kraft card blank.
